Here is the error results from the Java Console: I noticed that the JavaApplet used to run the Download Manager is version 1.0 (perhaps the applet is out of date? they often change simple things like where a file has to be located in Mac that would cause this sort of problem) I am running Mac 10.7.5, Safari 6.1.3, and Java 7 update 65 (most recent from Oracle). I usually click the link to download without the download manager, but I've always liked the download manager and found it to be useful. I think it started when I updated java versions. I've been having problems using avid's download manager, which is a javascript. Same url as the old name though.Įdit for additional: I should add I use one of my other computers around here (my Photoshop and web Mac Mini) for web work (downloads, etc.) and it's running OSX 10.6.8. Oh yeah - the Avid page that used to be called My Avid is now called Avid Everywhere. I just tried this to see what's up and something interesting happened - I logged into my Avid account, went to the page where my products were and clicked on the PT11.2 Mac installer and up came a little dialog box/window asking me if I wanted to save the download or open it (you know - the standard box) and started the download. If you have tried everything else, try downloading that, quitting all browsers, installing Java, and restarting. Newer versions of Mac OS X automatically remove Oracle Java. In order to use the Download Manager with akamai downloads in your avid account, you would need to install Oracle Java:
